Submerge

This body of work was driven by an interest in exploring the depth and breadth of human emotion as explored through the visual language of water, as well as the dissonance between modernity and the natural world through a subject matter that is highly personal to the artist. The themes of transience, repetition, ambiguity and abstraction which are grounded in a familiar subject matter – all of which have influenced her work throughout her career – found themselves fully represented in the swimmer series.
